CAKE SMASH PARTY

This morning I saw this on http://colourgiggles.wordpress.com/ and I really really hope she doesn't mind me using it. I loved it so much I've already recommended it as a party idea to one of my friends whose little boy is turning one next month.

Of course I hadn't heard of this for Emma's first birthday but I really don't see why we can't do it for her next one and the next one after that. Hell, I have friends who have (unknowingly) had Cake Smash parties for the 35th, 40th and 45th birthdays. And of course, the cake smashing tradition has been around for years at weddings...

Mark once cake tossed his entire birthday cake, which was a rather novel thing to do - let's just say it was a surprise birthday party I had for him, there was loads of alcohol, too much in fact, and the result was a cake been thrown over the hill at The Unplugged Kitchen in Hartebeespoort.

But now a cake smash party for a toddler, well, that's too good an idea not to share...

And if the cake doesn't look good enough to it, the toddlers darn well do xxx

  2. Totally agree that a cake smash doesn't have to be reserved for the 1st birthday party (seeing all the adorable photos I'm seriously considering it for the 2nd!). Thx for the link back :)
