Growing up in a very middle class family, we had one holiday a year and it was always at Easter time.

Come April we'd pack my dad's car, an old dove-grey peugot, to bursting point with suitcases, blankets, pillows, toys for the car, toys for the beach, toys in case it rained, toys in case we were bored and 'padkos'. We'd leave in the early hours of the morning for the eight hour drive to our holiday destination. And no sooner would we have left our driveway and it would start.

My mom assured us that the Easter Rabbit, like Father Christmas, always knew we were and we didn't need to worry about not getting eggs. Though just to be sure I'd always leave a rather crudely drawn map in the garden for the EB, just in case...

• Prize letter terms and conditions:
• The prize letter is for a 2-night weekend stay at a Tsogo Sun hotel of your choice within South Africa.
• The prize letter will serve as the official voucher and covers the cost of 2 adults and 2 children sharing in a family room on a complimentary bed and breakfast
• The prize is valid until 31 August 2013. The accommodation must be taken up within this period, as the expiry date will not be extended.
• The prize is not transferable, may not be converted to cash and, if lost, will not be re-issued by Tsogo Sun hotels.
• The prize may be taken at any time, subject to availability, convenient to prize winner and to the selected hotel, with the exception of school holidays, public holidays and certain other peak periods that may be identified by the hotel.
• To redeem the prize, the prize winner will need to contact our Customer Contact Centre in Johannesburg on telephone number 0861 44 77 44 and the Reservations agent will make the booking on their behalf. Please note that the prize winner will be required to fax a copy of this letter to the Reservations agent to secure the booking.
• The original prize letter needs to be presented to the hotel on check in at the hotel – no copies will be accepted.
