In the news

So for the last few weeks I haven't felt like I've had too much to say or share with you, here on my blog. Life is life at the moment, kinda sucky, but with good moments sprinkled somewhere in between. Mark's mom, Emma and Ben's granny is gone and we feel the gap she has left each and every day.

But as far as exciting-hoooooooo-I-got-to-write-this-down kind of stuff. Meh! Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Until yesterday.

I found out that Huggies® My First Nappy is the proud sponsor of Nege Maande, a 12 episode series that follows nine diverse moms-to-be over their second and third trimesters.

The reality programme starts on kykNET tonight (being Thursday) at 8pm. If it's really reality TV then I'm looking forward to it. Never having experience pregnancy I want to see what happens at the scans, the pre-natal classes and everything else that goes with it.

And the second thing that happened that has inspired me to write something was a response to my recent post about Emma and I in the bath together. Someone, and I say someone because the person who pissed on my parade chose to remain anonymous left the following comment:

"You seriously let your child, at 4 years old when they are putting any and everything in their mouths, bath with you while you're on your period? I can think of nothing more disgusting for that poor child you are abusing.

And at 4 she should be bathing ALONE - letting kids bath with you is wrong on so many levels and you are exposing your kid to the idea that it is perfectly fine for adults and children to be naked together. Shame on you."

This I shall deal with later. Now I sleep a little (bronchitis) so I can tune into Nege Maande later on this evening to see what it's all about:

  1. Hang in there! Amazing how those cowards always leave annonymous comments.

  2. I hate it when people want to criticise but don't have the guts to do it under their own name.
