Emma loves books, all sorts of books. Picture books, big books, small books, books that we can read to her and books that she can 'read' herself but her favourite is the Leapfrog Tag. She can read along with it or listen to the stories. Depending on where you place the Tag on the page it gives you sounds, or asks you to 'answer' questions...Emma has hours of fun with this and the best part is it's nurturing her love for reading...
Need I say more...every little person loves bubble bath. And most people I know love the Mr. Men characters, so imagine my excitement when I spotted Mr. Messy bubble bath at Dischem. It smells good. It looks good and it makes us smile
Hello Kitty! Growing up I wasn't allowed Hello Kitty stuff. I'm not sure if it was because my dad didn't like cats or if it was too expensive for my 'middle class' upbringing. However I have righted the wrongs of the past and Emma has everything Hello Kitty...I mean everything - little broekies, various sized soft toys, jarmies, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, cups, bottles, puzzles, pillows...and now, thanks to Woolies, Hello Kitty cookies!
"Upsy Daisy here I come. I'm the only Upsy one". Emma's Aunty Caryn sent this gorgeous Upsy Daisy wooden doll from the UK for Emma's birthday. It is one of Emma's favourite toys - the pieces come apart so it helps with motor skills AND it looks beautiful. Long after Emma's stopped playing with it it'll make a pretty ornament for her room...
Emma has a HUGE love and appreciation for books. Often you find her on the couch with book in hand, reading away to herself...
Bubbles bubbles everywhere! From little Emma loved bubbles. At first she would just sit and watch us blowing them, screeching with delight. As soon as she could she was doing it on her own. Oddly enough the other day I heard that they're actually really good for little ones. Blowing bubbles helps develop the 'b' and 'd' sounds...
Winnie the Pooh said it best: "It is much more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words, like "What about lunch?"
Emma, Max and Luca are BFF's...they're proof that not much needs to be said to be the bestest of friends.
