Win a MOM

Giveaway
I think I'm a good mom to little Emma. She's fed (though could do with more veggies), she's clothed (supercute all the time), clean (though ears and nails leave a lot to be desired) and she's happy...most of the time.

But I have a confession to make. I'm not a very organized mom. I'm THAT mom that drops Emma off at school when its closed. I'm the mom that ALWAYS forgets day trips, show and tell Fridays and 'concerts'. I'm also not the most organized of friends. I will forget your birthday, anniversary, baba's birthday and every other important day in your life. I'll forget to show up for lunch and I won't be able to call and apologize because chances are I've forgotten your telephone number.

Remembering my name is as much as I can do, let alone my short term and long term goals, to-do lists, shopping lists or extra mural activities for Emma.

Most of the time I write a cryptic note on my hand about something I need to remember, but I invariably forget what the cryptic note or symbol means. Like the time I forgot to fetch Mark from the airport because I had written "OR". I pondered, perplexed and panicked over what "OR" meant. Fish OR chicken for dinner? Takeouts OR homecooked? Now OR later? Until I got THE phone call from Mark, asking with gritted teeth where I was. Every year I forget our wedding anniversary. Thank goodness for a rather mushy husband who has the date etched in his mind (and his heart, as he likes to tell me)

Mark has gotten tired of reminding me about Emma's vaccinations, deworming tablets for the dogs, food for the house, where we're going for Christmas, when we leave, when we come back and so the list goes on. Believe you me, I've tried keeping notes but with a love for notebooks and journals (of which I have about 10) I kept forgetting which journal I had written what in.

Finally at his wits end, he bought me the M.O.M (Most Organised Mother) diary...a life saving device packaged between two gorgeous covers.

M.O.M is the perfect planning-reputation-and-relationship-saving diary around. Just so you know there's also a W.O.W (Wonderfully Organised Woman) diary too, for those ladies who don't want to walk around with a diary reading M.O.M on the front cover.

These can't-live-without diaries come in A4 and A5 sizes, in dusty pink, dark purple, red and charcoal black (no prizes for guessing the colour of mine) and they have 2 ribbon markers - like a tub of  Haagen Dazs, one is never enough!

This cleverly put together diary has things like school terms and public holidays BUT it also has a host of features that not even the most organised of M.O.M's would have thought of.

Each page has a banner at the top with details of a useful service or product. There's also a directory in front of the diary listing all these products / services for easy reference

There is a current year planner as well as a future year planner for when the year's coming to an end and you need to start planning ahead

There's a page to personalize with pictures of your family, special moments with friends, etc and blank pages at the front and back of the diary which can be used for anything that's relevant to you, whether it's training schedules, diet plans or blog notes

At the beginning of each month there's a to-do list which is great for goal-setting for the month and great for planning ahead

Perfect for me is a meal idea at the beginning of most months - incredibly handy for those days when I have no idea what to make for dinner

Each day is broken up into various sections. There's a place to write the things you want to REMEMBER for the day, like a birthday, a reference number, an appointment. The right hand side of the page has times and your main daily activities. The left hand side is for family, friends or kiddies, as well as your goal journal and daily gratitudes

In M.O.M there's a kids sport and cultural schedule, making sure you always know when your child has what and where (read BAD MELINDA here)

There's 8 pages dedicated to goal setting, including a double page for 'going visual'

ONE OF MY favourite pages is the page for 'borrowed and leant' items...now I know where my DVD's, books and CD's are at all times

The diary has pages for important kids information as well as one for your essential information, like credit and debit card numbers, cancellation numbers, emergency numbers, motor vehicle registration details. medical aid info, etc

There's personal and business phone number lists

A simple budget planner (I still haven't figured out what a budget is, let alone how to plan it)

An inspirational thought or message for each day AND a note of special days, like "international hug a friend day"

The only thing missing, in my humble opinion, is an excuse a day to keep a horny husband away!

At R155 it makes the perfect SECRET SANTA gift or add it to your Christmas list...but order quickly, they're selling quicker than homemade muffins

I've been lucky enough to receive ONE M.O.M diary courtesy of Alison to give away. All you need to do is leave a comment here.
